lonely cedar
A sole tree in an expanse of prarie as vast as the hopefully dreary sky above it - clouds lit like candles in the dark. Ground lifted, an expression of heart. Wounded knees kneeling to kiss the ground. Grain silos and liquor stores of Nebraska are a gateway to Pine Ridge, South Dakota where this diary begins. Sleeping Bobcats redo this road. The sun peaks through terential downpours. Green and grey grief aging, going to seed and being devoured by bovines. Where do you feel it? Vulnerable lonely cedar on the road to the sea where only wind trails. Post Options L
